PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil supply device for an engine capable of suppressing an influence of the variation of a bearing clearance between a plain bearing and a metal bearing by not only simply reducing oil pressure but also effectively utilizing an oil suction force by a plain bearing (crank journal), effectively reducing an oil quantity, increasing an oil film temperature at the plain bearing, and reducing the rotation drag of a crankshaft by the lowering of the viscosity of oil when an engine load is light. SOLUTION: The device includes a flow rate control means 25 reducing the oil quantity when the engine load is light as compared to an oil quantity a heavy engine load at an upstream side of an oil gallery 23 of a crankshaft system oil passage 11, and a valve means 40 opening the oil gallery 23 to the outside of the oil passage and bringing the inside of the oil gallery 23 into a crankcase inside-pressure state when the oil supply quantity to the oil gallery 23 is small.
