PURPOSE: A compressor for a heat pump is provided to save the energy through the reduction of the load of a motor. CONSTITUTION: A sealed container(20) is divided into an upper chamber(22) and a lower chamber(23) by a diaphragm member(21) and holds a pump(32) and a motor(34). The pump and the motor are installed in the upper chamber, the pump is driven by the motor, the refrigerant flowing into an inlet(25) is compressed by the pump to be discharged through an outlet(26), the lower end of the rotary shaft(35) of the motor is protruded to the lower chamber through the shaft support(24) of a diaphragm(21), an impeller(40) is installed on the lower end of the rotary shaft, the impeller is rotated by the high-pressure refrigerant sprayed from the nozzle(50) mounted on the lower chamber and the rotary shaft of the motor is rotated by the rotation of the impeller.
