PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a work reversing device having a simplified device constitution obtained by interposing manual labor of a worker and by consolidating operation processes of the device. SOLUTION: The work reversing device includes: a pair of clamp arms 60 with a gripper tailored to the shape of work surface; a work clamp device 18 provided with rotating shaft 52 operating the clamp arms to a gripping position or a non-gripping position for a work; a lifting platform 46 supporting the work clamp device reversibly about the axis of the rotating shaft 52; a cam 42 provided on a piston rod 32 of an air cylinder 26 so as to fix the rotating shaft 52 at the work gripping position engaging with the rotating shaft 52 when the piston rod is moving forward; and a gripping lock mechanism 98 lifting the cam 42 in advance prior to the lifting platform when the piston rod moves forward, and lowering the lifting platform in advance when the piston rod moves backward.
