MULTI-CARRIER MANAGEMENT METHOD

A multi-carrier management method is provided, and the method includes: a base station allocating subcarriers for a mobile station when the predetermined condition is satisfied; wherein the predetermined condition includes at least one of the following: a mobile station requesting bandwidth or subcarriers from a base station, the channel quality of the carrier on which the mobile station is currently working being smaller than predetermined threshold, the subcarrier allocation policy during the traffic stream setup process, the quality of service requirement of traffic stream, the base station having downlink data to be sent to the mobile station, new service setup, the load balance policy of the base station. Through the present invention, when subcarrier and maincarrier are the frequency bands which are not adjacent and the center frequency deviation of the two frequency bands is lager than threshold value, the operations of maincarrier handover, subcarrier allocation, subcarrier handover, subcarrier releasing and so forth are implemented.
