In a system matrix calculation using a sequential image reconstruction method, the memory usage is saved by use of a symmetry property, and thereby the speed of calculation processing is increased. First, a two-quadrant partial system matrix (C) in a reference base position (30) of 0 = ?r = 45 is calculated. Next, by using the expansion of the symmetry property of the partial system matrix, system matrices for reference source positions (30A (same as the reference base position (30)), 31A, 32A, 33A, 30B, 31B, 32B, 33B) are obtained using the partial system matrix. The position coordinates (Xu, Yu, ?u) of the system matrices are then obtained using a reference destination coordinate (Xr, Yr, ?r) in the reference base position (30). A data amount required in an image reconstruction calculation process using a system matrix is thus reduced, and the calculation time is reduced.
|
