SELF-TIMED DELAY ELEMENT BASED ON RING OSCILLATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-terminal self-timed delay element without needing any external reset input by generating a self-timed reset signal while using a ring oscillator internally and using a flip-flop for delaying an input signal with a clock signal of the ring oscillator as a reference, with respect to a self-timed delay element based on the ring oscillator.

SOLUTION: The self-timed delay element includes: a ring oscillator that generates an internal clock signal; and a signal delay circuit section in which the clock signal generated by the ring oscillator is applied to a counter and an external input signal is delayed by a determined clock cycle.
