<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator which is reduced in weight and size without sacrifice of the strength as a pressure container. <P>SOLUTION: In the gas generator 1, a plug 12 is inserted in an aperture 10 of a sleeve-shaped housing 4 opening at least on one end, and the end part 11 on the aperture side is caulked in a caulking groove 13 of the plug 12 by reducing the diameter of the end part, thus sealing the aperture 10. The caulking groove 13 is a linear groove having a rectangular cross section and extending over the circumference of the plug 12. At least a side wall 14a on the center side of the housing among side walls 14 forming the caulking groove 13 is orthogonally crossed to an axial line X of the housing 4 or inclined to the aperture side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
