SIDE-SURFACE HEAT SHIELDING APPARATUS AND INSTALLATION METHOD OF SIDE-SURFACE HEAT SHIELDING PLATE FOR HOT REPLACEMENT IN COKE OVEN CARBONIZATION CHAMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a side-surface heat shielding plate to be easily transferred from a rail of a working truck to a ceiling-suspended guide rail. SOLUTION: A side-surface heat shielding apparatus is used for the replacement of furnace wall brick of carbonization chamber 1 in a coke oven while it is hot. The apparatus consists of: the side-surface heat shielding plate 11 constituted by planes parallel to a furnace wall surface of non-repaired part B having an upper guide roller 11a installed at a ceiling and a lower guide roller 11b installed at a bottom; the ceiling-suspended guide rail 5 to be attached to the ceiling of the carbonization chamber 1 for guiding the upper guide roller 11a; and a lower guide rail 12 to be attached to the bottom of carbonization chamber 1 for guiding the lower guide roller 11b.
