PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality detection device capable of improving safety by detecting an abnormality of a brake means compensating a self lock function at an early stage before the self lock function in an actuator serving as a driving source of a lifting mechanism totally stops working. SOLUTION: A control means 60 determines that not only the self lock function but also the brake means 40 does not work, and an abnormality occurs in the brake means 40 when a downward displacement of a toilet stool 11 is detected by a displacement detection means 50 while an input switch 61 is not operated.
