PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a resin solution for a varnish, largely reducing a production time and effectively producing a resin solution for a printing ink varnish without providing the conventional and common torque detecting device and a large measurement facility in the explosion proof area of a chemical plant. SOLUTION: The method for producing a resin solution for a printing ink varnish by chain elongation reacting two or greater materials in a system including a solvent, has the steps of: (1) combining respective predetermined quantities of the two or greater materials to charge in a reaction chamber to produce the resin solution for a printing ink varnish; (2) chain elongation reacting for performing the chain elongation reaction; and (3) detecting the viscosity of a reaction liquid for producing the resin solution for a printing ink varnish in order to determine the end point of the chain elongation reaction, in which a process time is largely reduced by eliminating additional material for a time from the combined charge of the materials to the reaction end.
