The method involves detecting temperature and humidity of air before flowing of air through an evaporator (7) in a motor vehicle air conditioning system (1) for determining a pre-evaporator-dew point. A dew point of air at the evaporator is determined, where the dew point is the pre-evaporator-dew point or the evaporator temperature. The dew point of air at the evaporator is compared with the temperature of a windscreen and the motor vehicle air conditioning system is regulated so that the dew point is made lesser than the temperature of the windscreen. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle air conditioning system comprising an evaporator.
