[Classes 39 (ii), 75 (iii) and 75 (iv)] A vehicle headlamp of the type comprising a filament 17 mounted in an enclosure comprising a body part 13 coated with a reflecting surface 16 and to which is fused a.transparent front 14 is adapted to serve also as a parking light by omitting the reflecting coating from a part 32 of the body and mounting a low intensity bulb 33 behind the window so formed. In alternative arrangements, Figs. 4 to 6 (not shown) the window is disposed toward the rear of the body part and the terminal device for the main filament is modified to constitute, or to form a support for, a holder for the low-intensity bulb. The lamp is adjustably supported on a part 12 of the vehicle by nuts 25 on studs 23 secured to the rear one of a pair of rings 11, 211 between which the periphery of the lamp is gripped. Specifications 515,091, 515,211 and 526,924, are referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also an arrangement in which the parking light bulb is mounted in front of the transparent front of the headlamp. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.</p> |
