PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shedding device for preventing an increase of widthwise space for installing a weaving machine, while facilitating control of the number of revolutions of opening motors. SOLUTION: The opening motors 2 of each heddle frame driving system 1 are installed on the right of a side frame 11. The eight opening motors 2, which correspond to eight frames of the heddle frame 7 counting from the front of the weaving machines, are arranged in two rows of three and five stages. Opening motors in the heddle frame driving system, which correspond to eight frames from a ninth to a sixteenth frames, are arranged in the rear of the weaving machine so as to be symmetrical with the eight opening motors 2. A connecting structure of each part is also identical. The center of a connecting pin 23, which is a connecting point of a connecting rod 3 and an opening lever 4, is connected by circumferentially changing positions on the same swinging trajectory 21. Connecting angles formed by connecting lines X and radius lines Y are 90 degrees in each heddle frame driving system 1. This structure allows to eliminate variation of vertical moving amounts of the heddle frame 7 and to facilitate control of the number of revolutions of the opening motors 2.
