FIXTURE FOR USE IN DENTAL IMPLANT

Disclosed is a fixture for use in a dental implant. The fixture for use in a dental implant comprises: a main body which is implanted in a drill hole formed in an alveolar bone in an oral cavity, and which has an outer surface with a male screw thread; and an alveolar bone contact cutout portion which is formed by cutting out a portion of a lower end of the main body along the radial direction of the main body, and which is brought into contact with the alveolar bone introduced therein when the main body is implanted in the drill hole of the alveolar bone. The fixture of the present invention is advantageous in that a portion of the alveolar bone which forms the bottom of the drill hole is introduced into the alveolar bone contact cutout portion, to thereby increase the contact area between the fixture and the alveolar bone as compared to conventional fixtures, and to promote the growth of the alveolar bone during curing when bone morphogenetic protein is bonded to the inside of the alveolar bone contact cutout portion, thus significantly improving the coupling force between the fixture and the alveolar bone.
