<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gain equalizer capable of minimizing the equalization remainder of the entire system. <P>SOLUTION: The gain equalizer (1) for performing gain equalization of an optical signal in an optical communication system includes a dividing means (WDM coupler 11) for dividing the signal band of an input optical signal (101), first and second gain equalization modules (12 and 13) for performing preset gain equalization of respective optical signals (102 and 103) whose signal bands are divided by the dividing means (WDM coupler 11) respectively, and a multiplexing means (WDN coupler 14) for multiplexing optical signals subjected to gain equalization in the first and second gain equalization modules (12 and 13) respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
