PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that a user has to select a storage destination folder in front of a MFP and that it is required in advance to select the storage destination folder by a client PC in the case of storing a scanned document in a document management server. SOLUTION: In this document management system, when a user scans a document by a MFP or the like, specific folders are determined based upon a storage history of the documents which the user has scanned in the past to produce shortcuts of the document scanned at this time in the specific folders.
