<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means by which a producer of optical elements using optical glass can produce an optical element having a desired refractive index and/or an Abbe's number based on predetermined information, even if the producer is different from a producer of optical glass. <P>SOLUTION: The assembly contains an optical glass material and a display object which displays physical property values including an annealing coefficient β value and a standard refractive index ns value of the optical glass material. Moreover, the physical property values displayed on the display object contain a standard Abbe's number νs value. The method for manufacturing the assembly is provided. The method for assisting the optical design of an optical element includes a process (10) for preparing the assembly, a process (11) for making a trial product using the optical glass material contained in the assembly by a press-molding method and conditions assumed to be used for manufacturing an optical element, a process (12) for obtaining the refractive index n of the trial product of optical element and a process (13) for performing the optical design of an optical element using the measured refractive index n. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
