<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver which notifies a user of that television broadcasting inadaptable to the user's present television receiver is performed. <P>SOLUTION: The television receiver is adaptable to DVB-T type television broadcasting. A main IC sets a reception frequency of a tuner, selects a physical channel of television broadcasting (#1), and determines that the selected physical channel is a channel of television broadcasting inadaptable to the present television receiver (#6) when the electric field strength of a high frequency signal received by the tuner is more than predetermined strength at that time (YES in #2) and when a demodulation signal outputted from an OFDM is not normal (NO in #3). The main IC notifies the user of that there is a channel of the DVB-T2 type television broadcasting in adaptable to the present television receiver (#7) when the selected physical channel is a channel of television broadcasting inadaptable to the present television receiver. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
