<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure cooking utensil provided with a locking/unlocking control member which operates asymmetrically. <P>SOLUTION: The cooking utensil has a locking/unlocking means 4 and the control member 6 for controlling the movement of the locking/unlocking means. While the control member is being made to move from its locking position toward its unlocking position, the control member and the locking/unlocking means cooperate so that an instantaneous position of the locking/unlocking means may vary as a function of the instantaneous position of the control member on a first relation (I).
