<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric drive unit which can surely be driven, a control method of the piezoelectric drive unit and an electronic apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The piezoelectric drive unit includes a vibrator having a piezoelectric element and generating vertical vibration and flection vibration by applying drive signals to a piezoelectric element, and drive-controls a piezoelectric actuator for transmitting the vibration of the vibrator to an object to be driven as follows. First, a constitution of the piezoelectric drive unit is made switchable, between a stationary drive control mode for applying the drive signal of a prescribed frequency f0 to the piezoelectric element; and a forcible drive control mode for applying the drive signal of a frequency f1, at which the impedance of the piezoelectric element becomes smaller than the frequency f0 of the drive signal in the stationary drive control mode. Then, when a drive detecting signal is not inputted within a prescribed time t0 after the drive of the piezoelectric actuator is started in the stationary drive control mode, the stationary drive control mode is switched to the forced drive control mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
