<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film which has good cuttability and extensibility for application as an optical film during heat processing, suppresses generation of bright spot foreign matter, is reduced in discoloring of an end part, and has a low haze value after extension; a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display using the optical film; and further a method for manufacturing the optical film having reduced manufacturing load, equipment load and environmental load associated with drying and recovery a solvent. <P>SOLUTION: The optical film includes a cellulose ester and a compound represented by general formula (1): R<SB>101</SB>-(O)n<SB>1</SB>-PH(=O)-(O)n<SB>2</SB>-R<SB>102</SB>, wherein R<SB>101</SB>and R<SB>102</SB>represent alkyl, cycloalkyl, or aryl; n<SB>1</SB>and n<SB>2</SB>represent 0 or 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
