PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating type treatment device suitably usable when carrying out various types of treatment such as heating, drying, roasting, steam heating, steam distillation, or steam extraction while moving a treatment object in a container by the so-called batch treatment method, and suitable for use at a research and development stage. SOLUTION: The rotating type treatment device includes a rotatable cylindrical body having a supplying/extracting part for the treatment object, one or more blade blocks housed in the cylindrical body, slidably contacting an inner wall of the cylindrical body, and composed of three blades, a heating means for heating the cylindrical body including the blade blocks from an exterior, and a superheated steam generating-supplying means for supplying superheated steam into the cylindrical body including the blade blocks. In the cylindrical body including the blade blocks, one end along its rotation axis is connected to a rotary driving part, another end has an openable and closable cover for supplying/extracting the treatment object, and it is rockable in a vertical plane around one point on the rotation axis.
