<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform sufficiently high speed shock hardening treatment without placing an excessive load on a driving device for moving laser beam. <P>SOLUTION: In a treatment region of the surface of a member 41 to be treated in contact with liquid, the member 41 to be treated is irradiated with pulsed laser beam 51 intermittently through the liquid from a laser beam irradiating apparatus while moving an irradiating spot in a first direction, and after moving a prescribed distance in the first direction, the irradiating spot 45 is moved by a prescribed interval to a second direction intersecting the first direction at the right angle and thereafter, the member 41 is irradiated with the laser beam 51 while moving the irradiating spot in a direction reverse to the first direction, and the member 41 and the laser beam 51 are relatively moved so as to satisfy dx<dy, wherein dx denotes a distance which the irradiating spot 45 moves during irradiation of the laser beam of two times on the directional axis of the first direction, and dy denotes the prescribed interval, thus the shock hardening treatment is applied to the surface of the member 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
