PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce size and weight of machine parts related to holding of a cylindrical fixed object such as a high pressure tank when the fixed object is held by surrounding the outer periphery. SOLUTION: In a band holding mechanism 200 to be used for mounting the high pressure tank T on a vehicle, a tank band 140 having one fixed end is held with a bolt 202, and a magnet 210 and a magnet 212 are faced to each other at the same magnet pole ( N pole, for instance) between a second fixed end 142 and a bolt head of the bolt 202. As a result, both of the magnets 210 and 212 facing the same magnet pole to each other exert repulsive force between the magnets 210 and 212 on the second fixed end 142, energize the second fixed end 142 toward a side of a band fixing part 116 of a platform F, and hold the high pressure tank T in a tank storage recessed portion 110, while applying tension to the tank band 140.
