PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a warning sound generating device for generating warning sound which is easy to hear, even when a frequency band of sound of surroundings, which outputs warning sound to a crew of a vehicle, is different. SOLUTION: The warning sound generating device includes: a speaker 8 for outputting warning sound; a microphone 5 for a drive recorder, which inputs sound around the speaker 8; and a control section 9 which extracts a peak frequency of a frequency distribution of sound input by the microphone 5 for the drive recorder, and makes the speaker 8 output the warning sound of frequency which is different from the extracted peak frequency.
