METHOD FOR PRODUCING RUBBER COMPOSITION AND OIL PRESSURE HOSE HAVING EXTERNAL RUBBER LAYER FORMED BY THE PRODUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a rubber composition that can control oil resistance freely in accordance with required characteristics of rubber without impairing low-temperature characteristics when controlling the oil resistance of the rubber composition by changing the acrylonitrile content (an average AN content) derived from NBR in the rubber composition in preparing the rubber composition by mixing acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) and ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM), and to provide an oil pressure hose using the rubber composition prepared by the production method and having both oil resistance and low-temperature characteristics. SOLUTION: In the method for producing the rubber composition in which the oil resistance of the rubber composition to be obtained is controlled by changing the average AN content in preparing the rubber composition by mixing NBR and EPDM, the average AN content is adjusted within the range of 5-20 mass% by using NBR having an AN content of 26 mass% or less and adjusting the blending ratio of NBR within the range of 20-75 phr.
