PURPOSE: A mobile terminal having touch sensors and an operation method thereof are provided to sense a touch signal without a touch pad by overlapping touch sensors at a certain region of a user input unit. CONSTITUTION: Touch sensors(141) are overlapped with each other at a certain region in a user input region, and a display unit(151) displays a pointer. When a touch signal is inputted through the touch sensor, a control unit moves and displays the pointer by corresponding to the touch signal. If the touch signal and a key input signal are inputted through a certain region, the control unit displays on the display unit an action menu corresponding to the region displaying the pointer.
