PURPOSE: A method for compressing motion vector for improvement of video encoder efficiency and a device of the same and a recording medium recording the same are provided to perform compression by using fixing code distinguishable with entropy encoding table or the table, thereby minimizing the size of the hardware using the compression. CONSTITUTION: An entropy code deduction unit calculates encoding code value corresponding to motion vector difference value from a CAVLC(Context-Adaptive Variable Length Coding) level table if it is possible for applying an entropy encoding table(S331,S332). A mixing code output unit calculates an encoding code value and a fixing code bit value from the CAVLC level table(S333). A MV(Motion Vector) information generator generates motion vector information of macro block(S334). A MV compression unit compresses a motion vector of the macro block(S335). |
