PURPOSE: A key input apparatus is provided to prevent the malfunction thereof by recognizing a touch input on a single-side. CONSTITUTION: A first plate member(110) is placed at a lower portion of a substrate and includes first and second contact units(111,113) on the vertical and horizontal axes thereof to correspond to text or numbers. A touch pad is placed at a lower portion of the first plate member and comprises a second plate member at which a ground pattern(121) is formed. If the object is touched on an upper portion of the substrate, a touch pad driving device is connected to the first and second contact units and scans the horizontal and vertical axes to the crossing points of the vertical and horizontal axes as a touch position.
