The device has idler pulleys (4, 5) surrounded by a power supply beam (3) to form a loop. A strand (3a) extends in a guide rail (2) from a door. The loop is fixed at a fixed point external to the door. Another strand (3b) is connected to a fixed point of the door. The pulley is carried by a carriage (7) whose displacement is guided by the guide rail. The guide rail is connected to a part (9) of the door by units permitting to apply constant traction force directed along an axis of the guide rail to the carriage.
