PURPOSE: A solar cell and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve the conversion efficiency of the solar cell by increasing the moving quantity of charges. CONSTITUTION: A second conductive type emitter unit(20) is positioned on the front surface of a substrate(10). A first silicon thin film layer(40) is formed on the emitter unit. A first transparent conductive layer(50) is formed on the emitter unit. A first electrode(60) is formed on the first transparent conductive layer. A second electrode(70) is positioned on the back surface of the substrate.
