<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof connector that includes an engaging recess so as to prevent a rubber plug from being damaged when the rubber plug is fitted to a connector housing. <P>SOLUTION: The waterproof connector includes: a connector housing 21 provided with each cavity 22 for accommodating each terminal fitting 40; a wire insertion tube 24 integrally provided in the connector housing 21 and inserted with each wire 41 connected to each terminal fitting 40; each rubber plug 42 fitted to each wire 41 so as to liquid-tightly seal between the outer peripheral surface of each wire 41 and the inner peripheral surface of the wire insertion tube 24; a back retainer 50 for preventing each rubber plug 42 from coming off from the wire insertion tube 24; each engaging protrusion 54 projectingly provided on the outer peripheral surface of the back retainer 50; and each engaging recess 30 formed in the wire insertion tube 24 so as to be locked with each engaging protrusion 54, wherein each chamfered part 32 is formed at each opening edge 31A on the cavity side in a direction intersecting with at least an axial direction of the wire insertion tube 24 in the opening edges 31 of the engaging recesses 30 opened in the inner periphery of the wire insertion tube 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
