<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a demodulation apparatus that has reduced power consumption and responds to a viewing program switching instruction at high speed. <P>SOLUTION: The demodulation apparatus includes: a program switching operating portion (710) for operating a switching instruction of a viewing program; a program switching interval detecting portion (712) for detecting intervals of viewing program switching instruction operations performed by the program switching operating portion; a demodulation portion (701) for inputting and demodulating a plurality of viewing programs received in a time division multiplexing manner; and a control portion (702) which controls the demodulation portion under a first mode when the interval of the switching instruction operation detected by the program switching interval detecting portion is longer than a first interval threshold, and controls the demodulation portion under a second mode when the interval of the switching instruction operation detected by the program switching interval detecting portion is shorter than the first interval threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
