<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein an authentication speed is lowered as the number of biological information stored in a server is increased in a system for storing the biological information in the server, and a system operation corresponding to the usage situation of a user is also hardly performed since the user of an authentication device cannot flexibly cope with a change in a system for storing the biological information in the authentication device, concerning a system for performing log-in by using the biological information of the user. <P>SOLUTION: The biological information of the user and the name of a terminal to which the biological information of the user is distributed are recorded in association with each other in the server. The name of the terminal is changeable in response to the usage situation of the user. The biological information of the user is distributed from the server to the terminal when the terminal is started, etc. The terminal which receives the biological information of the user records the biological information in a biometric device connected to the terminal, so as to prepare for the log-in of the user.
