<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust system for a gas turbine engine. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust system reduces the turbulence and a backflow in the exhaust system, and thus, increases efficiency in the gas turbine engine (12). The system includes an exhaust plenum (32) for gradually expanding exhaust gas.
