PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a sliding loss to improve efficiency and reliability, in a hermetic compressor having a reciprocating piston. SOLUTION: In the hermetic compressor, the crankshaft 3 is driven by the electric element to reciprocate the piston in the cylinder. The hermetic compressor includes: an electric element and a mechanical element housed in a closed vessel; a crankshaft 3 passing through a bearing part 1a of a frame and extending from a lower part to an upper part of the frame; and a crank pin 3a positioned above the frame. An inclination part extending downward with respect to the crankshaft 3 is disposed to the bearing part upper part 1c of the frame, and a space for storing lubricating oil is disposed between the crankshaft 3 and the inclination part.
