PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breather having high waterproofness to water leaking in a case via the breather, by adjusting pressure of the case inside, by surely collecting liquid of the case inside without discharging, even when pressure in the case suddenly increases. SOLUTION: This breather adjusts internal pressure of the case inside, by reducing the internal pressure by exhausting to an external part, when the internal pressure of the case inside becomes high by exceeding predetermined pressure. The breather includes an exhaust passage for communicating with the external part from the case inside, a liquid collecting passage for collecting liquid discharged from the case inside to the case inside, and a discharge valve means for opening a valve when the internal pressure of the case inside exceeds the predetermined pressure, and is characterized in that a fluid collecting passage is arranged on the atmospheric side going over the discharge valve means, and a collecting valve means is arranged in this fluid collecting passage, and a rubber elastic material labyrinth lip opposed with a narrow clearance to a case surface is arranged on the outer peripheral edge of a cover body.
