<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing mismatch of a predicted image resulted from a difference in operation accuracy of a motion vector without complicating operations, with respect to a motion compensation system in which there is no restriction on all pixels belonging to the same patch to have a common motion vector and horizontal/vertical components of motion vectors of the pixels can be values other than integer multiples of a distance between adjacent pixels. <P>SOLUTION: Horizontal and vertical components of a motion vector of each pixel to be used for forming a predicted image are specified so that the components take only values of integer multiples of 1/d1 and 1/d2 (d1 and d2 are positive integers) of a distance between adjacent pixels, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
