The invention resides in the implementation of an antioxidant during the functionalization reaction of a (meth)acrylic polymer in a dry state by polyoxyalkylated lateral groups, so as to improve the grafting rate of the final polymer. The obtained polymers constitute another object of the invention, as do the aqueous formulations that they contain.
