<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a service interruption caused by an over-increased consuming power quantity and an appliance damage caused by a voltage reduction, in a power-quantity managing system for managing the power quantity consumed by a plurality of electric appliances. <P>SOLUTION: A managing apparatus 10 monitors whether the total of the power quantity consumed by a plurality of corresponding home electric appliances 30 exceeds a first threshold of consumption value set to a smaller value than the limiting power quantity representing the maximum power which can be fed to the home electric appliances 30, or not (S 160). Also, the managing apparatus 10 transmits a power saving mode shifting command to each corresponding home electric appliance 30, when the monitored power quantity exceeds the first threshold of consumption value (S 170). Further, each corresponding home electric appliance 30, when receiving the power saving mode shifting command from the managing apparatus 10, shifts from an ordinary mode where it operates the function possessed by each corresponding home electric appliance 30 by an ordinary consuming power quantity to a saving-power mode where it operates the function by a smaller consuming power quantity than the ordinary consuming power quantity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
