<p>The fuel injection system has a low-pressure circuit, where a fuel is removed from a tank (2) and is supplied to a cylinder of a high pressure pump (1) by a suction valve (11) through a main fuel filter (5) and a dosing unit (7). A filter arrangement (15) has two filters arranged distant to each other in flow direction of the fuel. The mesh of the filter lies in transverse- and vertical direction. The housings are made of plastic.</p>
