PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric double-layer capacitor having voltage resistance characteristics of≥3 V by using aγ-butyrolactone having high conductivity. SOLUTION: In the electric double-layer capacitor, an electrolyte contains a solvent containingγ-butyrolactone and one or more kinds of additives selected from anthraquinone triazole, and benzotriazole. The additive(s) adhere(s) to an electric collector to suppress a reaction between the water content in the electrolyte and the electric collector, thereby suppressing deterioration of the electrolyte, and the electric double-layer capacitor can be used at≥3 V.
