PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate a recording reservation meeting user's preference in a broadcast recording apparatus. SOLUTION: A control unit 11 reads out an ID-3 tag recorded in a card type memory 12 or a USB (Universal Serial Bus) memory 13, and records the ID-3 tag into a hard disk device. Furthermore, the control unit 11 obtains program information included in a television broadcast signal, compares the program information with tag information of the ID-3 tag, and automatically reserves timer recording of a program having program information, whose contents match the tag information.
