PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication device which communicates with another radio communication device which communicates by a different communication method. SOLUTION: A communication method determination part 212 determines a communication method to be set based on communication method designation information from an application part 206, and outputs communication method information to a control part 214. The control part 214 reads a communication method program of the corresponding communication method from a storage part 216, and outputs a communication method change signal to an RF part 22 and a digital signal processing part 208 based on the read communication method program. When the communication method change signal is received from the control part 214, the digital signal processing part 208 changes a communication method applied to modulation/demodulation in response to the communication method change signal, and executes a modulation process or demodulation process in accordance with the changed communication method.
