摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focus detecting device that accurately detects a point light source during focus detection, suppresses the reduction in focusing speed, and avoids incorrect ranging of the phase difference AF by the point light source. <P>SOLUTION: The focus detecting device includes: a ranging unit for acquiring range information in a focus detection range in a line sensor corresponding to at least one ranging point; and a photometric sensor that has a light-receiving surface divided into a plurality of regions and acquires the luminance level of each divided region. The focus detecting device compares the luminance level of a divided region on the light-receiving surface with that of a divided region around it, detects a point light source including region from the divided region on the light-receiving surface, removes the range overlapping the detected point light source-including region from the focus detection range in the line sensor corresponding to the ranging point, and makes a ranging sensor acquire the range information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p>
