PURPOSE:To conduct a low speed running during the observation by providing a means for conducting the running at a lower speed than a steady-state speed by operating an operation means provided within a cage or a monitoring board. CONSTITUTION:A load detector 15 for detecting the congestion degree of passengers and a permanent magnet 14 of a position detecting device for low speed territory detection are provided under the floor of a cage 8, and magnetic memory switches Va, Vb which are operated when opposed to the permanent magnet 14 are disposed within an optional territory on the elevating route side. The low speed designation is made by speed switching. When the congestion degree by congestion detection is low, the elevator cage 8 is raised by a steady-state operation from the lower floor, and entered into a partial low speed operation when reached to a position having a better outlook as the permanent magnet 14 is opposed to the switch Va at that position. The elevator is continuously raised at low speed from there, and when coming up to the switch Vb, it is changed into a high speed operation and driven to a desired floor. The converse is conducted when descending. |
