PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated microporous membrane capable of obtaining a secondary battery having high safety and high cycle characteristics, when used as a separator. SOLUTION: The laminated microporous membrane has an air permeability in terms of film thickness of 20μm of 300 sec/100 cc or less, a piercing strength in terms of film thickness of 20μm of 300 g or more, an average pore diameter D of the total layer of 0.02-0.1μm, and a liquid absorbing index (H30) of 7 mm or more.
