PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headlight tester capable of measuring headlights of a test object, generally located higher than those of ordinary passenger cars. SOLUTION: The headlight tester includes: a truck having running wheels; a pair of right and left columns vertically secured onto a top surface of this truck; an elevating support to be guided up and down along the columns by a driving force of a drive source installed in the truck or the column; and a tester body vertically installed on a top surface of the elevating support so as to be located between the columns; this tester body comprising a vertically long box-shaped light sensing section having a condensing lens at an upper end thereof, and a reflecting box externally fit into an upper end of this vertically long box-shaped light sensing section so as to move up and down, and internally having an inclined reflecting mirror which reflects in a direction of the condensing lens projected light from the headlights of the test object, generally located higher than those of the ordinary passenger cars.
