PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable opening operation to be performed simply without dropping a folding mobile terminal by mistakes when opening, and simultaneously to prevent a button for performing the opening operation from being exposed on its appearance. SOLUTION: The mobile terminal is provided on a folding mobile phone 1 (the folding mobile terminal) with the first housing 3, the second housing 5 and a hinge 6 which connects to make it possible to fold and open or close the first and second housings 3, 5 to each other. Then, the mobile terminal is configured so that the first housing 3 automatically opens to the second housing 5 from such a condition as to close the first and second housings 3, 5 by sliding and moving the first housing 3 in the axial direction of the hinge 6 to the second housing 5.
