PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine, successfully improving evaporativity of fuel added to an exhaust passage when using fuel having a high biofuel concentration. SOLUTION: This control device for the internal combustion engine includes an exhaust fuel adding valve 24 disposed in the exhaust passage 22 in the vicinity of an exhaust valve in a specific cylinder (#4) and adding fuel to the exhaust passage 22. A biofuel concentration sensor 26 is provided for detecting a biofuel concentration in fuel added by the exhaust fuel adding valve 24. A fuel adding period by the exhaust fuel adding valve 24 is set according to the biofuel concentration. Specifically, if the biofuel concentration increases, the fuel adding period during the exhaust stroke of a cylinder located adjacently to the specific cylinder is lengthened.
